Catholic Campaign for Human Development Diocesan Director Meeting (directors only)
Join fellow CCHD diocesan directors from around the country, and the national CCHD staff, as together we share how our work can best reflect the Gospel imperative to “bring good news to the poor, liberty to captives, new sight to the blind, and to set the downtrodden free…” (Luke 4:18-19).
This annual diocesan directors gathering focuses on implementing the campaign’s mission both nationally and locally. Catholic Relief Services Diocesan Directors Annual Meeting
Catholic Relief Services’ 2013 Annual Diocesan Directors’ Meeting will serve as an excellent opportunity to reconnect with and be energized by the global solidarity mission of CRS. Our time will feature an update on our overseas work and the importance of the involvement of U.S. Catholics in these efforts. Utilizing a networking and discussion format, we will examine issues and strategies critical to U.S. Catholic leaders. Some skills training may be offered based on expressed needs of Diocesan Directors. As always, the meeting will offer the chance to create and enjoy the spirit of solidarity!

National Catholic Rural Life Conference -- Promoting Human Dignity for Rural Communities
The slow economic recovery has led to a crisis: social programs are still in great demand, but government services need to be cut to help reduce the federal deficit. What does this mean for support programs to rural America and drought-stricken farms? In order to maintain crucial agricultural, conservation or nutrition programs, we need to show that rural life matters for the health of the nation. So how can we promote human dignity when it comes to rural communities? This session will examine how our Catholic faith informs our rural life perspective as we seek to advocate for crucial federal programs.

The Roundtable Annual Symposium -- Living the Vision of Vatican II: The
Church as the People of God (two-day meeting)
As Vatican II turns 50, the Roundtable reflects on the current impact of the council for the Church as 'The People of God.' (Lumen Gentium). The Symposium will reflect on how we, as the 'People of God,' live out our responsibility for the life and the mission of the Church -- not only the social mission of the Church but the larger vision as the Body of Christ. How do Catholics as the People of God authentically live out their call to be Church today as laid out in Vatican II? The 28th Annual Roundtable Symposium will examine this in dialogue with our presenters. We will examine the question of how the People of God serve as agents of justice, leadership, and evangelization in parishes. Lastly, the Symposium will examine how local leaders develop, own and act to move our faith communities toward purposeful action for justice, and thus, as agents of evangelization, in the larger community.
On Saturday, Dr. Christopher Bellitto, Kean University professor, author and Paulist Press Academic Editor-At-Large will discuss Vatican II in the larger hermeneutic of Church history and reform and in terms of the Church's response today to the call and challenge of this Council.

Join friends and colleagues in honoring Gerry Flood, former debt-relief consultant with the USCCB office of International Justice and Peace and former World Bank official, with the Harry A. Fagan Award for his exemplary contributions to the achievement of the Catholic vision of social justice.
We will also honor George Horton of the Archdiocese of New York, for his outstanding contributions to diocesan social action with the Servant of Justice Award.

National Catholic Partnership on Disability -- Strategies for Advocating Effectively on Policy That Impacts People with Disabilities
Join with other advocates for persons with disabilities as we consider the policy issues that are likely to be under legislative review in 2013. How can we preserve the critical services under the expected budget tightening? Issues that will be considered include community based services, housing, employment and medical policies.
